My current budget beauty favourites

I'm all about beauty on a budget - I do have my fair share of high end products, but I genuinely believe there are so many affordable products that work really well. Now, not everyone's budget is the same and I understand that; the products I'm sharing in this post are low-end, 'drugstore' products you can pick up in supermarkets, discount stores and so on. Let me know if you've tried any of them!

XHC Banana Shampoo & Conditioner Bar

I love shampoo bars, especially when I travel with hand luggage only and need to take as few liquids as possible. This is genuinely one of the best I've ever tried, and it was 99p in Home Bargains. I can't find it to purchase online but if you see it, grab one! They do a papaya one and a coconut one too - I'm going to stock up for sure. Shampoo bars are easy to use and long lasting, meaning you get even more for your money. This left my hair feeling clean and soft; I usually do follow with a conditioner but one time I didn't (forgot to pack one for an overnight hotel stay) and my hair still felt amazing. So impressed!

PS...Naturals Cleansing Wipes

I'm not a huge fan of cleansing wipes as they're not great for your skin *or* the environment - but sometimes, needs must. These from Primark are a bargain (£1 for 40) and they are gentle on the skin as well as being bidegradable. They do the job and smell nice too. If you are feeling eco-conscious, they do reusable cotton pads in this range and they are *chef's kiss*.

Collection Incredibrow Tinted Brow Mascara

Most days all I do is my eyebrows - and because they're currently dyed, all I need is to run this through them to thicken them up a bit. This stuff lasts all day, and the brush is an ideal size - not too big and not super tiny so that it takes ages. You can get this in loads of places for a couple of quid, and they last a fair while too. Buy it at Boots here.

Essence Camouflage+ Matt Concealer

I picked this up in Wilko when I was looking for my favourite mascara (the Essence Lash Princess Scultped Volume) which was sadly out of stock. But I needed a new concealer and this was a bargain, and I've been loving it. It's sooooooo light, ideal for people like me who have the skin tone of an ill Victorian child, and it lasts really well on the skin even with wearing masks. Buy it on Just My Look here.

The Ordinary Serum Foundation

Whenever budget beauty is mentioned, The Ordinary are usually somewhere in there - and for good reason because most of their products are amazing. The serum foundation is no exception. They have a wide range of shades, and it gives good coverage while remaining breathable. I find it lasts a long time on the skin, and looks really nice. It even has SPF 15! Buy it on LookFantastic for £6.40 here.

Boots Glow Essence

This whole range from Boots is amazing and so affordable - this serum is £4 and it's not a miracle worker but it does leave your skin feeling extra soft and super glowy. If you're looking to start introducing some additional steps to your skincare routine, I couldn't recommend this more! I featured it in my recent beauty empties post if you want to have a gander... Buy it from Boots online here.
