A huge empties post

Back in the day, empties posts were so big in the world of beauty blogging - and on YouTube too. Most people don't really do them any more, so why am I still hoarding empty bottles of shampoo and tubes of moisturiser? I'm not too sure but if you are reading this, leave me a comment and say hi! Below you'll find quickfire reviews of beauty products I've used up, and links to buy them if they're available online. Without any further ado...

Products marked with a * were PR samples sent for review.

Yes To Cucumbers Colour Protect Shampoo

I feel like this may have been discontinued, but it's no great loss. It's a bog standard shampoo which I pick up in Poundland - massive bottle so it lasted ages, but didn't lather loads and I can't say I noticed it protecting my colour too much. You can buy it for £8.99 HERE but I wouldn't bother.

Redken Diamond Oil Glow Dry*

I've gone through not one but two bottles of this stuff and I just adore it. I use this on my hair when it's wet, then either blow dry it or let it air dry. I even run some through my hair when it's dry if I've styled it and want to tame flyaways/frizz. It's a dream product. However, why am I bothering to tell you this because IT ACTUALLY HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. I'm devastated. Nobody speak to me for 3-5 business days.

Justice Professional Platinum Conditioning Shampoo*

I love love love this - at £13 for 300ml it's pricey but this left my hair feeling like pure silk. The matching conditioner leaves my hair feeling greasy but this shampoo with a different conditioner is absolutely chef's kiss. Smells very salon-y, too, and I like the pump bottle packaging. Highly recommend, and you can pick it up on their site HERE.

Lee Stafford Hot Shots in Purple Reign

I picked these up in Home Bargains for around £1-2 so keep an eye out - but you can get them in Boots too. These are really intense purple masks for brightening blonde hair, and they worked a treat on mine. Definitely had everyone asking if I'd been the hairdressers which is obviously what you want from a hair mask. At £8.99 RRP for a 4 pack I think it's a bit expensive (I needed two for my locks) but if you see them cheaper, pick them up for sure.

Balmonds Scalp Oil*

This brand are amazing if you have eczema or dry/sensitive skin. I did a full Balmonds review a while back, and I've finally finished the scalp oil. I don't really get a dry scalp but this did make me feel very fancy and pampered, and it smells amazing. I used it on the lengths of my hair too, so a great all-rounder. Happy days! Pick it up via LookFantastic here.

Creightons Sunshine Blonde Silver Masque Treatment

This is another Home Bargains special, and another purple hair mask. This is actually lilac rather than purple, and didn't do loads in terms of the blonde situation but DID leave my hair feeling gorgeous. Creightons are a great budget-friendly hair range, one I'd highly recommend!

Lee Stafford Keep it Clean Replenishing Mask*

I love this range from Lee Stafford (such a shame they discontinued the dry shampoo, something I learnt from Mikhila recently) and the mask is great. It isn't too heavy and doesn't leave your hair feeling weighed down - but it does leave it feeling SO clean. Definitely one to add into your mask rotation, if you have one. Available at Boots for £8.49 now.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish

This range from Superdrug is a fantastic alternative to the Pixi Glow Tonic range, and I love them both. This is much cheaper though! I don't tend to use physical/scrubby exfoliators but I really liked this for when my skin was super dry and needs some extra TLC. However, like many other products in this post, it has been discontinued. The rest of the range is banging though and I would highly recommend.

Rituals Happy Foaming Shower Gel

I picked this up in Vienna Airport just before Covid started because I was in a mood - and I'm so glad I did. This is the most luxuruous foaming shower gel I've ever tried and I love love love it. I can't find this one online but they do have other scents on Look Fantastic for £8.50 which seems expensive for a shower gel but is honestly worth it.

Dove Shower Mousse

Can you tell I love a foaming shower gel? The Dove ones are £3.99 and last FOREVER. They also feel lovely on the skin and do everything a good shower gel should. Grab them from Boots!

CeraVe Foaming Cleanser*

If you're looking to start a skincare routine or strip yours back to basics, then you can't go wrong with CeraVe. Their products are outstanding, and this cleanser is one of my favourites ever. It's not a make up cleanser, but perfect for mornings or a second cleanse. So gentle, so simple. LOVE IT. They sell it on LookFantastic, ASOS and loads of other sites too for under a tenner.

Tropic Smoothing Cleanser*

I used to work with Tropic a lot when I did more beauty blogging (I miss those days!) and as such I have quite a stash of these cleansers - which is a good thing because they get make up off like a charm. You definitely need to second cleanse afterwards as it does leave a residue, but it's so gentle on the skin and just melts make up straight away. At £18 it's not a bargain but I do think it's a fair price!

Too Cool For School Eggzyme Whipped Foam*

Korean skincare is 10/10 and this is no exception - it's an exfoliating cleanser with a little bit of texture, which lathers like a dream and leaves your face feeling CLEAN. And I mean clean like, stripped of everything, so this might not be for you. But worth a try, though at £18 it is a bit steep...

Revolution 10% Niacinamide and 1% Zinc Serum

I absolutely love this product, and I'll say pretty much no more because this post is long. But if you want something in your routine which is affordable, which works & is gentle, this is it.

Boots Glow Essence Serum*

I was sent this ages and ages ago, and it has been empty for ages - and writing this has reminded me to pick it up again because it's a gorgeous morning serum for adding some extra glow to your little face. And at £4 it's less than a maccies breakfast, so.

Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream*

Pixi are another brand I was lucky enough to recieve a lot of PR from over the years, and I absolutely love this moisturiser. It is intense, and so hydrating, and the rose scent isn't too overwhelming. Expensive at £24 but if you've got it to spare and your skin is really dry then definitely grab this one.

Too Faced Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow

Yet another product that seems to have disappeared from our lives - but one I absolutely loved. Maybe you should just... not trust my opinion. I used to wear this alone on my lids on no make-up days (e.g when I was working) just to brighten up my eyes. It wasn't irritating on the skin, was easy to remove and sparkled soooo much. You can currently buy it in some shades from LookIncredible but I don't know how trustworthy a site they are... Let me know if you know!

Okay that was so long, I'm going now. Hope you enjoyed, let me know if you've tried/finished/loved any of these products.
