Lighthearted films to watch while self-isolating

Stuck at home and feeling pretty miserable about it? Really, I don't blame you and I'm sending you all the good vibes. If you're feeling bored and looking for a good film to watch, consider one of these. They're all lighthearted films, suitable for the whole family to enjoy together if need be. Now just really isn't the time to be watching Contagion or Olympus Has Fallen, you know? I'm not a huge film lover so there are bound to be plenty more - if you have any ideas, drop them in the comments below.

Animated films

Moana
Boss Baby
Lego Batman
Shrek (any of them)
Coco
How To Train Your Dragon
Ratatouille
Big Hero 6
Song of the Sea
Monsters Inc
Bee Movie

Non-animated films

National Treasure (and the sequel)
Matilda
Christopher Robin
Daddy Day Care
A Cinderella Story
Ruby Sparks
The Little Rascals
Legally Blonde
The Golden Compass
Night at the Museum
Paul
She's The Man
One Day
The Greatest Showman
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Clueless
Hugo
Pitch Perfect 1/2/3
A Million Ways to Die in the West
Going in Style
Bend it Like Beckham
Dumplin'
The Goonies
Oz The Great and Powerful
E.T
The Borrowers
We're the Millers
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Hopefully there are plenty of ideas there. Like I say, I'm not *really* a film person but these are all great family-friendly movies that (probably) won't add to the stress of being self-isolated. We can absolutely get through this if we all stick together; if you're feeling lonely or overwhelmed, please know I'm just a message away.

  9. So many good options in here. Moana is one of my favourites, and I can't believe I'm admitting this but I've still never seen Coco. Also you can't beat a good teen movie for cheering you up - She's The Man is hilarious and Clueless and Legally Blonde are classics!
