8 psychological thrillers to read this Autumn

Psychological thrillers are, without a doubt, my favourite book genre. I've read too many to count, by so many different authors, and I'm always lending and recommending them to friends too. I know it's not quite Autumn yet but it is pretty grim outside, and we're almost there so without further ado here are 8 psychological thrillers to read this Autumn!

Little Face - Sophie Hannah

I absolutely love Sophie Hannah, and especially her Culver Valley Crime series. Little Face is the first in this series, and one of the first psychological thrillers I ever read. It's about the disappearance of a baby, and who did it, and why. You won't regret reading this one, and you'll be dying to read the rest of them! BUY IT HERE

The July Girls* - Phoebe Locke

I've mentioned this on my blog already but if you've not read it yet, do so soon! It's so dark and gripping - a really intense storyline that will truly have your heart racing at times. It's about young women in London going missing each July, and I would absolutely recommend. BUY IT HERE

Too Close to Home - Linwood Barclay

I absolutely love his books, and I think this one is my favourite. It's about a family who's neighbours get shot, but did the shooters target the right house..... Honestly it's a fantastic book with loads of twists and plenty of suspense. BUY IT HERE

The Passenger - Lisa Lutz

I read this last year and loved it - it follows a woman who is on the run, having escaped her old life. She keeps changing her name and getting into all sorts of situations and of course, you can never really leave your old life behind... BUY IT HERE

What Alice Knew - T. A. Cottrell

I liked this lot; it's about a woman who has it all, then her husband disappears. He comes back relatively quickly, but the story is all about where he was and why, and what happened during those hours. It's so interesting, so well written and so tense. BUY IT HERE

99 Red Balloons* - Elisabeth Carpenter

Another book about the disappearance of a child, this one has such a bloody good twist. There's a lot going on but it's easy enough to keep up with, and I really enjoyed reading this one. BUY IT HERE

The Girl Next Door - Phoebe Morgan

I loved this book when I read it. It follows the death of a young girl in a quiet town - what happened, who did it, what secrets are being kept from the police and the people who live in the area? I read this pretty quickly, and I'd highly recommend if you're into your psychological thrillers! BUY IT HERE

Watching You - Lisa Jewell

Another of my favourite authors, and this is one of her best books in my opinion. Such a gripping story about a murder that happens in Bristol - who the heck did it, and why? There's all sorts of sub-plots too, and it's just a brilliant story. BUY IT HERE

  11. Sophie Hannah books have caught my interest before but as of yet I haven't tried any of her work. I am enjoying reading much more this year having made a promise to get back into it. I will have a look at some of these on Goodreads.
