5 destinations that should be on your Mediterranean cruise wish list

I've never actually blogged about cruises before, but I have done three of them - it was way before I started my blog, though, and I don't have the best memory-storing brain in order share specific details with you. However, I saw someone on Pinterest had done a similar post to this so I wanted to share my opinion on the 5 destinations that should be on your cruise wishlist. Let's go!

Villefranche-sur-Mer is a beautiful commune on the French Riviera, and remains to this day one of the most stunning places I've ever visited. The colours and the architecture are just amazing, and it has such a peaceful vibe perfect for just wandering around and appreciating life, perfect if you've had some action-packed cruise destinations during your trip.

Palma de Mallorca isn't somewhere I've actually ever been as a cruise destination, though I did have a cruise leave from here once. But I did visit for a day earlier this year - there's loads to do, but you can easily cram it into one day (see my tips here) and it's really beautiful, as well as getting decent weather throughout the year.

Civitavecchia in Italy is the cruise port that allows you to visit Rome, where there's so much to see. It can be hard to fit everything into one day if you really want to explore what the city has to offer, but there's plenty to choose from to make the day go exactly how you want it. If you want to reenact the Lizzie McGuire Movie, you can - or if you want to see the Vatican City, you can!

Port Said is the port for you if you want to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, and just bask in the history of Egypt. It's quite a drive from the port, so it's an early morning one, but so worth it - and the port itself is beautiful and busy and bustling. I loved my day in Egypt so so so much and I'd recommend it as a cruise destination to anyone!

Kusadasi is in Turkey, which is one of my favourite countries to visit as it is - and this port is a gateway to so many cool places. When we stopped here on a cruise we went to the House of Virgin Mary, which was amazing to see despite not being religious; we then headed up to Ephesus, an ancient city which is perfect if you're a bit of an archeology nerd like me.

Writing this post has made me desperate to go on another cruise - it's also always been a pipe dream of mine to work on a cruise ship, and now I have some bartending experience it might be something I seriously consider in the next few years. Where are your top cruise destinations?!
