Garnier Gel Washes

Over the past few months, we have managed to grow a collection of five different Garnier gel washes which, even by our standards, is pretty ridiculous. But I've been trying them all out, so here's the low down in order of preference, no less.

In first place is the Nourishing botanical gel wash which has honey flower (you know I love bees, and that's why I bought this one). It has 96% natural origin ingredients, and it's also targeted at dry to very dry skin with I have. This one smells amazing, feels SO nice on the skin and lathers up loads. This actually does an amazing job at getting make up off even if you don't use a flannel/cloth with it, and I adore it.

Up in second is the PureActive Intensive Ultracleansing Charcoal Gel which comes out black and is a really good one for a deep clean. It smells okay and lathers a bit, but it's great at reducing redness and leaving the skin squeaky clean.

In joint third are the two Micellar Cleansing Gel Washes which are basically the same - the pink one* is targeted at sensitive skin and it's meant to cleanse and soothe, whereas the green one is for "normal" skin, and it's to cleanse and mattify. As I have quite dry skin I don't really need anything to mattify my skin but I like the pink one a lot - with a flannel or cloth it's really good for getting aaaall the make up off.

Last but not least is one I picked up in Poznan (haul here) and it's a Refreshing cleansing gel from the Essentials range; it's just boring, and it stings a bit if you've got any sensitive skin. It's alright but it's not one I'd recommend if you're after any of the gels!

Have you tried any of Garnier's gel washes?

  1. I haven't tried any of these yet, but now I really want to! I need a good wash that'll get all my makeup off, and the pink micellar one sounds like exactly what my skin needs
