Slug & Lettuce Chester // Review

Last week, in the midst of event-planning, Sam and I took some time out to go for a meal* at the Slug & Lettuce in Chester. It's such a lovely restaurant - a chilled out vibe but it looks so nice and put together at the same time. We sat down at a table for two, ordered some drinks and pored over the menu.

I went for garlic baguette sticks - literally tiny little baguettes made into garlic bread and they were DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of hot and greasy and garlic-y. Sooooo nice. I'd ordered them as a side so I could dip them into my main course: lasagne. I am a huge lover of lasagne, and this one did not disappoint. The chips were lovely, too - not as crisp as I'd personally have liked, but gorgeous nonetheless. Sam had a chicken wrap with chips and she said it was delicious, too. We were both absolutely stuffed when we'd finished our mains, so much so that we didn't get dessert. The puddings we saw going past looked decent, though!

So the food was good, the vibe was nice - and the staff were friendly and helpful as well. All in all we had such a lovely lunch at the Slug & Lettuce and it's definitely somewhere I'll be heading back to, as it's really well priced to boot.
