Solo Spring Shopping @ Aintree Shopping Park

I have some exciting news - I'm now an ambassador for Aintree Shopping Park! I'll be sharing some of my favourite picks from their shops over the next couple of weeks, both here and on my Instagram, so be sure to check 'em out.

Yesterday I went over to Aintree Shopping Park on the bus (you can get a bus straight there from Liverpool City Centre) and spent the afternoon shopping by myself. Solo shopping is, in my opinion, just as nice as shopping with a pal/partner/family member. You can stick your headphones in, browse at your own pace and buy things that are truly you. I don't know about anyone else, but especially when I was younger I would put off buying things that my shopping buddy didn't like, or didn't think was cool, or whatever. Looking back I can see how daft it is, but I still did it - and to an extent, I do now, especially when I'm shopping with my mum!

So which shops did I venture into? I started with M&S, and headed straight for the café for a cheese scone and a glass bottle of coke. It tastes better in a glass bottle and we all know it - and the café is lovely, with nice staff and a good selection of food and drink. Then I had a mooch around their home section (think Moroccan vibes right now) before picking up a gorgeous cream striped shirt which will hopefully be making an appearance in an outfit photo some time soon! I checked out Next to see what Spring fashion they had to offer, as well as peeking in their little Paperchase section because I'm a stationery addict - I managed to stop myself from buying yet another notebook, just about. I ventured into Hobbycraft, too, which is full of Easter-themed goodness: bright colours and pastels, eggs and chicks, fake grass and sparkles. Also, there's a Boots, and a pretty decent sized one - but given all the make up and skincare we brought back from Poznan, I decided it was best to avoid Boots all together!

I had a lovely relaxed afternoon wandering around Aintree Shopping Park, and I can't wait to show you some photos and outfit pics over the next few weeks! Keep your eyes peeled.

  1. I don't think I can go into Boots and come out empty handed! I just can't do it! I do love some solo shopping, I feel like I can take as long as I want in each shop and especially in the dressing rooms if there's nobody having to wait around for me!

  2. I always used to buy or not buy depending on my mum/friend's opinion!! I wished I lived near a massive shopping centre, the one in Brighton is a bit shit :( x
