Life Update, May 2016

So I'm back for good now - a lot needs sorting out, because I need to renew my domain but it's $61 and I don't have that lying around but I don't want to have to start from scratch, so if anyone has any advice please let me know! I've been gone for over a month, nearly two, and a lot has happened.

I've finally handed in my dissertation, and the rest of my work. That's it now, as an undergrad. #NWmeet 2.0 was a success. We raised spot on £200 for MIND, a charity close to my heart for a variety of reasons, in memory of one my childhood friends Stefan. He was the life and soul of any party, and anybody would tell you he could light up a room with his jokes. But you never know what's going on behind closed doors unless someone chooses to tell you, so be mindful of that and be nice to everybody. Please.

I had a lovely lovely lovely family holiday; it was amazing to get away from reality for a while, to relax and drink cocktails and play archery. I met some people who understood me, who offered words of wisdom and a bottle of champagne, who I talked to for hours. I came home with no tan and probably a damaged liver, but also with a clear head. I read a lot, won several games of rummy, scored a Bulls Eye playing killer darts. I decided I want to move abroad next summer, to be part of a hotel animation team. I'd like that a lot.

I went to a beautiful family wedding; I've been on day trips and dates; I've planned a new tattoo. I've been on the radio (doing BBC1 Newsbeat, no less); I've got some good uni results back; I've been looking after my skin.

I've missed blogging; I've missed having somewhere I can share my favourite make up, write down my thoughts, offer my poetry up for sacrifice and advice. I've missed the friends that come alongside blogging, and I can't wait to get back into it properly.

I've realised how important it is to have a good support network, and how lucky I am to have one - my family and my best friends, and some unlikely friends, and the people I work with. Everyone has been incredible the past few weeks and I don't know how to thank them. Uni work and planning the event definitely made me a bit of a stress head, but there was somebody there for every tantrum and every time I cried. I've been on more nights out in the past month or so than I have in the past year, and while my bank balance isn't happy about it, I really am. There's something so special about dancing to 90s music on sticky floors and waking up next to your friends in last night's make up (don't tell Caroline Hirons...)

So that's it - I'm back, and I have a whole load of posts coming your way. I'm hoping to stick to 4 posts a week, and now that uni is out for Summer I should be able to do just that. I've missed you guys, and I'm so happy to be here again.

What's new with y'all? Tell me tell me tell me!

You would make a fabulous holiday rep/animation team, my friends daughter has just gone to Kos today for 4 months to do the same thing :) you'd be fabulous at that and think of the tan!!! Looking forward to your posts lovely, lots of love <3 xxxxx
