How I cope with facial eczema // TIPS

If you've read my blog for a while you might know I suffer from eczema, as well as acne, and it's normally quite mild. Every so often it flares up on my face and makes me look like I've been set on fire (I'm exaggerating) so I thought I'd tell y'all how I combat that when it happens!

First step is looking at what I've been using on ma face lately - I recently got sent a product to try, and it was so lovely but it made my skin sO SORE and I had a huge rash all over my eyes and across my cheeks. My eyelids were swollen and my skin was so tender.  I stopped using it, then tried again a few weeks later and the same thing happened; so I knew it was definitely that.

Antihistamines are always helpful - I have big ones prescribed by my doctor, but regular ones work too because an itchy face is the worst, especially if you happen to accidentally scratch it if your nails are sharp. Plus it's just annoying.

My saviour, though, is coconut oil - I use the Lucy Bee Coconut Oil* which I got earlier this year, and it is such a joy. I don't even like coconuts, but this is so soothing on the skin and really takes down the irritation on my facial area. I use it as both a cleanser and to moisturise, and it only takes a few days to get my face back to normal!

If you've got any more tips, please let me know!

  1. Coconut oil is my all time favourite skin product too! I don't suffer from acne but got sent a sample in my Birchbox of 'Balance Me Congested Skin Serum' the range contains natural ingredients and since coconut oil works so well I thought this could help you! The serum I presume is for applying to any breakouts but they have a whole range of skincare! I know for a student they can be pricey but obviously, if it helps, it's worth it!
