My recent beauty empties | March 2021

It's been a couple of months since I shared an 'empties' post, but I've made my way through a bunch of beauty products lately so I thought I'd share my thoughts on them here - did I like them, would I repurchase them and so on! Enjoy...

Products with a * denotes a PR sample.

Creightons Sunshine Blonde Shampoo

I picked this up in Home Bargains as I'm trying to make a concerted effort to look after my (dyed) blonde hair - it was fine, but nothing to rave about. Cheap and cheerful, smells nice, but did it improve the look of my blonde? I don't think so! I wouldn't not buy it again, but I'd see what else was available.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

This is my second favourite Lush scent, and I always get some at Christmas. This is actually from *last* Christmas as I had so much of it - I love it and use it as bubble bath and shampoo as well as shower gel. So yes, would (and will) definitely repurchase.

Too Cool For School Egg-Zyme Whipped Foam*

This is a cleanser that I *love* and always use as a second cleanse - it literally leaves my face feeling squeaky clean. It's exfoliating without being scrubby, and it lathers up amazingly. You can get it from Boots and it is pricey for a cleanser, but I really like it personally and would definitely recommend! Buy it HERE and sign up to Quidco to get cashback from Boots.

Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Brightening Mask

Again, trying to look after my blonde - I like this and it definitely does get rid of brassy tones. I got this from Home Bargains and I'm sure it's less than two quid. Just be careful because it gets everywhere and can stain. As hair masks go, though, it's quite nice!

Cien Goodbye Frizz Conditioner

Aldi are known for their dupes, and I wanted to see if this compared to the John Frida Frizz Ease range which is what I assume it's trying to copy. I hated this, in all honesty. It's so thin and runny, and didn't leave my hair looking any less frizzy. I didn't find it nourishing at all and definitely wouldn't buy it again even if it is super cheap.

Radox Feel Vibrant Shower Mousse

Another Home Bargains purchase (I love it in there) this was a winner for me. I love mousses as opposed to traditional shower gels, as a little really goes a long way and they're great for shaving. This one smells amazing too - good for waking you up in the morning! Will definitely pick this up again if I see it.

The Ordinary Niacinamide & Zinc

I absolutely LOVE The Ordinary, and when someone recommended this to me I bought it straight away. I'm waiting for another bottle to arrive; it definitely helped clear up my maskne, and didn't irritate my sensitive skin which is always a bonus. Buy it HERE for a fiver!

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel

Moringa is my favourite scent EVER and The Body Shop are a lovely brand, so this is an all round winner. Their shower gel feels lovely on the skin and lathers up well, and I just love this. I already have another bottle somewhere! A definite re-buy for me. Get it HERE.

That's all the products I've used up lately - what's been empty in your shower or make up drawer recently?

  2. I am using The Ordinary niacinamide and I have the Moringa hand cream. If the shower gel smells like the hand cream it should be amazing.
