Five recent reads | march19

I've been slacking a bit when it comes to reading, but I read like six books when I was in Mallorca and it's time to update you all with my five recent reads - enjoy! There'll be another one coming pretty soon because some of these I'd read before I went away, so I've pretty much got enough for two of these posts already. Keep your eyes peeled...

The Room by the Lake by Emma Dibdin is a book that took me a while to get into, but as soon as I did I was utterly hooked. It's about a girl who runs away to New York and somehow ends up joining a cult. I won't say any more but it's bloody brilliant! BUY NOW

I loved The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda; it's definitely my kind of book and it truly had me on the edge of my seat. It follows a journalist who moves to a kind of remote town to escape the troubles of city life, and everything just goes bit downhill after that. You'll love this if you're into your psychological thrillers. BUY NOW

You may have already read my review of The Newcomer* by Fern Britton so I won't ramble on too much but it's a lovely read set in beautiful in Cornwall and you can read my post about it if you want to know more! BUY NOW

The Girl Next Door* by Phoebe Morgan is another book that is SO up my street - it's about the murder of a young girl in a quiet town, and who did it and why and what secrets the town are all hiding from each other, and from the police. Cracking read. BUY NOW

I absolutely adored A Love Story for Bewildered Girls* by Emma Morgan which tells the story of three different women: one gay, one straight, one as yet undecided. It's so beautifully written and the way their stories intertwine is so clever and I just loved it so so so much and please read it. BUY NOW
