(AD) Winter skincare at The Coliseum

I love shopping, and I love it even more when all the shops are conveniently in one place - especially when that place also has loads of restaurants and other things to do. The Coliseum isn't too far away from me, and has some of my favourite shops (and restaurants) so it's absolutely perfect for a day out.  Recently they got in touch and asked me to show you some of the skincare goodies you can pick up, so here's what I got!

We headed straight to Debenhams because I knew I wanted to stock up on my favourite Clarins moisturiser, the Hydra-Essentiel silky cream for normal to dry skin. My skin is definitely on the dry end, but I find this moisturiser to be one of the best I've tried when it comes to keeping my face hydrated. It sinks in quickly and doesn't go tacky or anything, and I've never had it break me out or irritate my eczema. I have pretty sensitive skin but this is an absolute dream for me, as is the rest of the Hydra-Essentiel range. They have a mask, serum, gel, lotion & more, and the range is definitely worth checking out if you've got dry skin and you're looking for something new - especially in the winter, skin needs a bit of extra hydration so Hydra-Essential is perfect.

I was desperate to pick up the LancĂ´me 'Miel-En-Mousse' make up remover after seeing Fleur De Force mention it in a video, but the lovely woman on the counter said it's been sold out for a week or so. Maybe next time! Another cleanser everyone raves about is the Clinique 'Take The Day Off' cleansing balm which I've actually never tried before. I love a good balm, though, so I tried some on the back of my hand and knew I'd get on with it, so I picked that up too. I've not actually used it to take my make up off yet, but I'm sure it'll feature on the blog over the next month or so.

The Coliseum also has a Boots and a Superdrug, in case you're looking for skincare that's a bit less high-end. No7 at Boots is a massive - and classic - skincare range; they have some essential products and some more expensive, but also more targeted and 'better' products for all different skin types, and Boots also stocks Liz Earle, Super Facialist, Garnier, Youth Lab and loads more. Superdrug have some brilliant own-brand products too, especially their Vitamin E and Naturally Radiant hot cloth cleansers, both of which remove make up SO well and last for ages. I find myself wearing more make up in the winter, so these cleansers are something I always stock up on!

So that's the winter skincare I picked up when I took a trip to The Coliseum - thanks to the team for inviting me down. I treated my mum to a Frankie & Benny's while we were there, and despite the torrential rain we had a lovely day out together. Let me know what your favourite skincare products are from Superdrug, Boots or Debenhams; I'm always looking to try something new...
