Clandestine Mimic Sex Toy // Review

It's been ages since I did a good old sex toy review, but when I got a press release from Clandestine Devices about their new toy, Mimic*, I was desperate to try it out. Fast forward a few weeks, the toy arrived - and as if they'd read my mind, I got the gorgeous 'seafoam' colour. It comes in lilac and black, too, and they're all really chic.

Starting with the packaging - it was boxed up in a black box with plenty of info, and the box wasn't that flimsy card type but rather a thick, sturdy cardboard which made it seem really sleek and grown up and clean. Inside was the toy, and it's just wonderful - the colour is beautiful, like I said, and it fits so well in your hand. And for something so small, it's really powerful. It has three buttons on the top - one that turns it on and off when held down/changes the setting when clicked, and then one either side of that: + and - which turn the intensity up and down.

It's easy to change the settings when you're using it, which is something that I think is really necessary in a toy, and it's a nice shape to hold. It touches so many different parts of you, and while it's for external play only, it's powerful enough that it doesn't matter. It's that soft matte feel and it has just the right amount of flexibility.

It's rechargeable, waterproof and pretty quiet, and has an LED light (which to be fair, doesn't do much but is handy when the lights go down...) - but it's not cheap at $125, which is roughly 97 quid. I've got a lot of use out of mine so far, though, so it might be worth it if you're in the market for a fancy new sex toy. It's good quality and I can see it lasting years!
