Beauty Gift Guide 2016

My blog started as a beauty blog so it's only right that I'd have a beauty gift guide up this year; these are some bits that I think are either pretty special, or would make the perfect present for someone just starting out with make up. Hope you love them as much as I do!

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Electric Poppy // The price point of Charlotte Tilbury make up is pretty up there, but when you're splashing out at Christmas I think anything of her's is a good way to go. I chose this lipstick because each one has been made with an iconic woman in mind - this particular one was Poppy Delevingne, who I adore. I think it's great that you can see each shade on a variety of skin tones on the website, meaning you're more likely to find a gift that actually suits the person you're buying for.

Urban Decay Naked Palette // These palettes are a cult classic, and I finally have all 4 in my collection - #blessed. They're such an incredible set of palettes, and I think they're actually a pretty decent price considering I've had my Naked 1 for over three years, and it's still got a lot of life left in it. They're pigmented, long lasting, and so versatile.

Seventeen Astro Eyes Collection // Boots 3-for-2 is a godsend when you're Christmas shopping (not an #ad I swear) especially if you've got a big family or a huge group of pals and y'all buy for each other - and you can find some fab little gift sets. This set from Seventeen contains a mascara, two eyeliners, and some fancy lash curlers and tweezers which are the most gorgeous rainbow chrome oil slick kinda colour. I've been a fan of the Seventeen liquid eyeliner for ages and the other products are living up to my expectations, so I think this is a great choice for people starting out with make up.

Baylis & Harding Christmas gift sets // These are a brand people often associate with aunties or older family friends, but some of their stuff is actually SO nice. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two of the sets; one is in a giant obnoxious gold sequin star, and contains 5 goodies from their sweet mandarin and grapefruit range which smells utterly incredible - you get the bath soak crystals, balancing body wash, body butter, luxury shower creme and indulgent body lotion. The other set I picked out was the slightly more sophisticated Fuzzy Duck gift set, which gives me serious androgyny vibes and literally has ducks on. It too smells gorgeous, although the products are a variety of scents; there's a black pepper & sage balancing body wash, Cotswold lavender hand cream, chamomile bath & shower creme and a black pepper, sage & moss scented candle which has taken pride of place on my bedside table, because I think it looks so fancy. The thing with gift sets like these is that you can keep them together for an easy wham-bam-thank you-mam kind of present, or separate them out for stockings/Secret Santa.

Nanshy The Eye Brush Set // Make up brushes are a staple in any collection but are often overlooked, and you can get some really decent ones in sets that make the perfect present. Nanshy's eye brushes are amazing and you get 7 in this set, which also comes in white that takes your fancy. For £30 they're a tiny bit pricey, but they last for ages and they're cruelty free & vegan, as well as being generally fab quality.

Let me know what beauty gifts you'll be getting for yourself/other people this year!

The above items were kindly sent to me by the brands for inclusion in this gift guide, but all words + opinions are my own. See my disclaimer for more info.
