Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder Foundation

Recently, I've been getting into using powder foundations, and the lovely girls at Urban Decay sent me their Naked Skin Powder Foundation* - it took me a few days to get round to trying it, but on my day off I decided to get it out of my stash and give it a whirl.

First things first; the packaging is beautiful. When you take it out of the box, it's in a beautiful floral pouch and then the foundation itself is in a chrome compact, complete with mirror and sponge. I'll be honest, sponges are just not my jam - so old school, and I have a flat-top kabuki brush that works wonders with powder foundation.

There's 14 shades, all of varying tones as well as colour; you'd think this would be great, but to be honest, I have what I think is the lightest shade - and it's orange. It's unwearable, for me, and that's such a shame because the formula is lovely with decent coverage, decent wear time and a lovely finish. With the Nivea sensitive shave balm as a primer, and finished with setting spray, the foundation itself looked really nice and lasted all day.

As you can tell, I'm disappointed - this was shade 'light neutral', but I also have 'medium light neutral' which seems to swatch a little differently and somehow lighter. I don't see how, but I'm praying that one works for me and if it does, I'll get back to ya.
