I'm probably the fussiest person there is when it comes to food/drink, but the lovely manager (Connor, who gave me a Family Guy mug) was more than accommodating - he made me a no-milk-milkshake (basically ice cream and butterscotch syrup) and just laughed when I didn't like it. It would have been amazing, if I liked that sort of thing! Prices are decent, the decor is amazing, but the food - oh my god.
I had waffles with white choc chips and strawberries, and I thought I'd never finish it but being the trooper that I am, I managed it. It was beyond incredible; the chocolate chips were melting slightly because the waffles were warm, and the strawberries gave it such a nice edge. Sam's pancakes were gorgeous too, and I don't even like pancakes that much! The butterscotch sauce was a fantastic idea.
They don't just serve dessert food though - you can get the usual panini's and sandwiches too, or go wild (and American) with nachos or hot dogs. There's free wifi, good tea and local coffee. There's even a wall of fame, with signed cast pictures from Nashville, The Simpsons and more.
It's American in the best way possible - I'm talking Ted, Route 66 mugs and Fresh Prince playing on the TVs. The music is the perfect level of chill, and the staff are SO lovely which of course was the cherry on the top. Everything about Ameriesko is completely spot on, and I'd recommend it to anybody! If you're ever in the area be sure to pop in; they serve alcohol too, and it's just an all round good time.
Have you been to Ameriesko yet?
Wanna know about Liverpool's surprisingly good rock 'n' roll bar?
