Make up picks for Spring

I recently shared my spring nail varnish choices, and I do tend to change my make-up around a bit each season so I thought I'd carry on with face bits! I love make-up soooo much and these are some of my favourite/most-used bits…

Going in sort-of facial order, let's start with foundation - this is the Bourjois Healthy Mix, and I think it's definitely a spring foundation. I don't find that it offers amazing coverage, but it does look really lovely on my skin! I have the lightest shade and it's pretty much perfect for me. The YSL Touche Eclat was on my lust-list for ages, and when it was in the sale for £12.50 after Christmas I pretty much pounced. Every time I use it I think I dislike it, but then I blend it in and look at myself and decide actually, it's amazing. I tend to use it under my eyes and down my nose, in case you were wondering, which you probably weren't.

Blusher, then - this one is the MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose. It's literally £2.50 and one of the best blushers I've ever tried, for real. The colours mix together perfectly, and it gives such a gorgeous flush to the cheeks. Pigmentation and longevity on point, too! When it comes to eyes, the Maybelline Colour Tattoos are amazing; as it gets warmer, eyelids get sweatier and you need something that's gonna last all day. I have a few, but my favourite is Eternal Pink. It's just gorgeous, and looks amazing on it's own or with rosy shades on top of it. I wore it at a wedding last year and it saw me through the day and night!

Continuing with eyes, I'm not really an eyeliner gal - but I love the 24/7 Glide-On Pencil from Urban Decay. I have the shade LSD and I like it in my waterline because it lasts all day and makes my blue eyes pop. Or something like that. I never claimed to know anything about make up. I've only tried one shade of the coveted Rimmel Apocalips, in the shade Celestial - I love it. I find it really comfortable on the lips and the shade is stunning, plus it lasts all day which is a bonus.

I've raved about Clarins Skincare before but I've not tried much of their make-up; this loose powder was my mum's but she doesn't like it, so I happily took it off her hands. I do like it. It's got sort of a peach tone to it, making it unlike any other powders I own. I use it to set under my eyes and find it great for touch-ups (although it's SO bulky). I also wanted to mention this e.l.f powder brush because it's literally the softest brush I own and they work together amazingly!

  1. I would love to try Bourjois Healthy Mix as everyone seems to love it and I like to wear a foundation with slightly less coverage during the warmer months anyway to give my skin a bit of a break. I love wearing pastel nail shades and peach toned blushers during Spring.
