Made by bees // Part two

I'm so proud of these two posts, and I just love bees so much, so welcome to part two of my 'made by bees' series. I've got a fair few lip balms in this one, but the more the merrier - chapped lips are a bastard aren't they?

Bee Good are a company I've worked with a few times - this hand cream and lip balm featured in my bee-lovers Christmas gift guide, and I love them. Tube lip balms are a lot more hygienic, and this one smells delicious as well as being really nourishing. The hand cream smells like sherbet, although the official line is honey & crambe. It's a lot more wet than most hand creams, but it doesn't leave a sticky residue which I thought it might!

In case you didn't know, I went beekeeping at a local farm - and Sam bought me some lip balm made by the very same bees! It's a lot thicker than other lip balms I've tried so I really feel like it's doing something; it's definitely a night time lip balm, and it smells gorgeous.

A company called Beefayre got in touch to see if I wanted to try some of their products - obviously I did, because bees. So a few days later a candle and a lip balm arrived in the post. The lip balm, in 'rose and vanilla' is a bit too rose-scented for me so it'll be going to my mum (lucky bugger) but as lip balms go, it is lovely. Not too thick, but not so thin that you need loads and still feel as though it does nothing! The candle is rhubarb and raspberry scented - and bloody hell is it nice. I'm saving it for when it's a bit more like Spring but I cannot wait to burn it! Can I just talk about how Beefayre's packaging and website aesthetics are, though?! Plus they donate to bee conservation charities.

You may know, I was lucky enough to meet the gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury a week or so ago - she was a dream, and we left with goody bags that were so generously filled. One of the items was her Lip Magic, which I was surprised/pleased to discover contains propolis (made by, you guessed it, bees!) Propolis is suuuuppppeeerrr protecting and has been used for all sort of ailments throughout the years, and the lip balm also contains beeswax as well as a whole host of not-bee-related ingredients that are still amazing. To put it bluntly, this lip balm is amazing. But it's £25 so, you know.

Last but not least is a company called Honeybee Gardens - it might be a stretch to include this (gorgeous) eyeshadow palette in this post but I'm doing it anyway. All their products are good for your skin - paraben free, no petrochemicals and no FD&C colours. I was lucky enough to get my hands on their Cosmopolitan Eyeshadow Palette and it's just stunning - honestly I wasn't expecting much but the colours are buttery, pigmented and such nice shades. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this!

So that's a wrap - my  'made by bees' series. Any products caught your eye?
