Jazzing up comfies

It's not often I do a fashion post, because I'm as far from stylish as one person could probably get. Most of the time you'll find me in leggings and a jumper, because being comfortable outweighs my need to look good 99.9% of the time. And so, here I am in leggings and a jumper. But you can jazz them up, right? Here's how I do it…

Floaty scarves*... this one is from White Stuff, and it's gorgeous - a proper lovely, long floaty scarf with a pretty pattern and springtime colours. It's part of their Valentine's range, and I just adore it. I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it, because I can just chuck it on with any plain outfit and be out the door looking like I've put effort in to what I'm wearing!

Statement necklace… not just any old necklace - something bold and unmissable really makes an outfit look a little less plain and boring. This one is an old one from Missguided, but I'd definitely recommend Primark for statement necklaces, especially as they really change from season to season so you don't want to be forking out loads for one. I love this necklace, though, and think it stands out against any top.

Cute socks… maybe a more Spring-time one, but little cute frilly socks, patterned socks or even glittery ones really add something to an outfit. These were a quid (!) from Primark, and they look cute with brogues or trainers as a really effortless way to change up your plain outfit.

Hats*… there are soooo many different hats, and I think floppy ones are perfect for Spring/Summer but as we're not there yet, beanies are the way to go. This one is from Bridgedale and I featured it in a OOTD last year. It's so soft, and with beanie hats there are so many different colours and styles that you're bound to find one that will pep up your jumper and leggings combo.

So that's how I personally try to jazz up a plain and boring - but always comfy - outfit. If you have any tips and tricks definitely let me know!

Want to see my first ever OOTD? 'course you do!
