My top winter skincare picks

Winter is the time of year when my skin is the worst - the cold weather, having the heating on and eating, let's face it, crap. They all take their toll on my skin and I have a whole range of products to try and counteract all the negativity.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleep Mask // It's a ridiculously long name but hot damn, it's a good product. A thick and genuinely bouncy mask, that springs back when you press it in the tub, and can be slathered on as a mask before you sleep to leave you with gloriously soft skin in the morning. Personally, my skin is SO dry that this sinks in within minutes, meaning I can actually use it as a moisturiser morning and night. It's £24 but well worth the pennies, because mine has lasted me since February!

Salcura Bioskin Zeoderm* // I've written a whole post about this, so I'll keep this short and sweet but this is just short of a miracle moisturiser for me. Read about Salcura here!

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Butter // I've still been working my way through last year's tub, but I love aaaalll the Body Shop body butters because they're so luxurious and moisturising. I'm thrilled I've got a brand spanking new one, and this is my favourite scent EVER.

Hylamide Glow Booster // This is actually Sam's, and we've both been using it, and we both love it. You don't need a lot of it and it does stain your hands a bit, but it leaves you with a lovely facial glow and a bit of colour in your cheeks. Perfect when you want to keep your skin make-up free but not look, you know, a bit dead.

Clarins HydraQuench* // I got a 30ml sample of this when I had a facial done at the new Clarins Beauty Bar in Liverpool (post coming soon!) and I am just desperate to pick up the full size. It's a gorgeous morning moisturiser, whereas I use the Salcura at night, and I love the smell of the HydraQuench range. Definitely worth a try if you're in the market for some new skincare!

Kallos Fortifying Banana Hair Mask // We picked this up in Kraków and I've been using it ever since - not only does it smell like those foam bananas you get in pick N mix, but it does leave my hair feeling incredible. It's not necessarily skin, but your hair does need some extra TLC in the winter months too!

Bee Good Honey & Propolis 2 in 1 Cream Cleanser* // This is my third mini tube of this, and I just love it. It's so creamy and delicate and by using it, I'm helping British bees. There's a post aaaaalll about it if you want to know more about my *favourite* cleanser.

Crabtree and Evelyn Handcream in Avocado, Olive + Basil // If there's one thing I find myself using more in the winter it's a good hand cream - and Crabtree & Evelyn offer some of the best. There's a whole range of scents and they soak in really fast without leaving that greasy film that is all too common with hand creams. Perfect handbag size, too!

Clarins lip balm* // Winter is undoubtedly the season of chapped lips and mine have been sore since mid November, so when I got my hands on this gorgeous lip balm from Clarins I was thrilled. It smells amazing and makes my lips feel so so so soft. A definite winner for me.

Let me know your favourite skincare for winter-time?
