Sample Stash #1

As a blogger and a beauty lover, I'm always getting samples - whether they're sent to me by PR companies or given to me by my mum after she's been shopping, I end up getting to try a lot of stuff which is fine by me. Most of the stuff isn't really enough to warrant posts on their own, so bit by bit I'm gonna break down my sample stash and share it on here.

Le Couvent des Minimes Hikers Foot Healer* // This is a brand I hadn't heard of before we started organising #NWmeet, but they're a branch of L'Occitane so you know it's good stuff. I'm not massively into foot cream on the whole but I thought I'd give it a go anyway; it smells fresh and citrus-y, and it's soooo thick. I put it on at bed time then shoved some socks on, then woke up with soft feet. Voila. 9/10

Mad Hippie Face Cream* // Again this was from #NWmeet but sadly they didn't arrive until a week after the event, so lucky me has a load of samples in my room - oops, but also I'm kinda glad because I luuuurve it. Not too thick that it doesn't sink in, but thick enough that you actually feel like it's doing something. Smells like fruity goodness and you don't need a lot of it. It's definitely made me want to try more from Mad Hippie! 8/10

Shu Eumura Hair Cleansing Oil Shampoo & Conditioner // Sweet baby jesus where do I even begin? There's not one bad thing I could possibly say about this product, other than the £30+ price tag; the smell is amazing, it lathers really nicely, you don't even need a lot. I dried my hair straight after washing and brushing it, and I swear I felt like I'd just left the salon. I need more *insert frustrated emoji face thing here* Solid 9.5/10 (Unfortunately I used these without taking a photo first. Sigh)

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty* // At our event, the gorgeous Megan and Martin from Lush came along to demo some products - this mask being one. I've never tried any masks from Lush before, and now I'm kicking myself for not trying one any sooner. It's green and minty and left my face feeling like a baby's arse, as they say. The sample size was just right to cover my chubby round face, and you can always get free samples if you go into Lush so it's definitely worth a try! 8/10

Have you tried anything in sample form lately that you've absolutely loved? Luckily mine have all been fab so far, and I'm dreading finding something I don't like!

Want to see a Lush haul? 'course you do

  1. This is such a good idea! I prefer a review that is short and to the point with a rating so this kind of post I prefer to a super long post dedicated to one item...though they are helpful if it's a specific product I'm looking for.
I love Lush masks, in particular the chocolate one even if it makes me want to eat it...
