#NWbloggersmeetup

Saturday was the day we'd all been waiting for - a bunch of Scousers together, talking about blogs and eating cupcakes as if our lives depended on it. It was organised almost single-handedly by the incredible Sam, and everything turned out amazingly.

We had two brand reps there; Carrie from Junkbox who was an absolute delight, and Lucy from Natalie Roche who was lovely, and gave us all some free samples which was amazing. Both girls were so informative and great to have a good ol' natter with. Our raffle - which I was the announcer for, and I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself - raised £80 for charity, which wasn't bad going considering there was only about 25 of us there. There were some wonderful prizes, such as make-up from W7, jewellery from Punky Pins and a shed load of coconut oil.

Our main goody bags were full to the brim with make-up, skincare, stationery, a squishy giraffe keyring and copious amounts of food, with a can of iced tea for good measure. Brands and companies were soooo generous, and I can't wait to use all of the stuff, which I will be blogging about as and when I find things that I fancy sharing! We also received second goody bags from Utility, who were so kind and gave us loads of fab things.

Just a small selection of the amazing goodies, including a
lip balm with my face on the tin. Cool or waaaa?

The venue, which was The Kabinett in Liverpool, is just absolutely gorgeous. I'd highly recommend going in if you're a fan of cocktails and menus that contain plenty of puns. They provided a pretty good soundtrack to the day, too! It was so lovely to finally be able to meet people who's blogs I've been reading for ages, and catch up with some of the girls I'd already met. The entire day was just a barrel of laughs and I enjoyed it sooo much.

A few of us went to Las Iguanas afterwards to ply ourselves with more cocktails and some delicious food, which was lovely despite our eye-rolling waitress. Undoubtedly, one of the best parts of blogging is the like-minded and amazing people you get to meet and ultimately get to call your friends. Not to sound biased, but I think us Northern bloggers are some of the best and I feel so lucky to have met such amazing girls in the past year.

All in all it was a lush day and I am so proud of Sam for pulling it off in such style. I'm hoping to plan my own event this Summer, and I hope it turns out to be half as good as Saturday was! Also, I was such a loser/terrible blogger and didn't get any pictures of the actual event, so if you want to see some just search the hashtag #NWbloggersmeetup on Twitter or Instagram!

The Body Shop bloggers event - Liverpool 2015

I was lucky enough to be invited to my first ever bloggers event last week - at The Body Shop in Liverpool, organised and hosted by the gorgeous Aisling. I met Emma and Asbeena at the train station, and we filled ourselves with burgers at the Gourmet Burger Kitchen in L1, before heading over to event with Sammy and Tasha. Upon our arrival we were supplied with drinks, popcorn and sweets, which is enough for me to give an event a 10/10...

We were introduced to some new products, notably the AMAZING 'Bouncy Sleep Mask', which I have already labelled a miracle (full review coming soon...) and I was also a guinea pig for some of their new lip products, while people took horrendous candid photos of me. I then spent the rest of the night sniffing and swatching the entire store, which Sammy will tell you is no exaggeration.

Aisling was also kind enough to give us some samples, which should hopefully satisfy my hunger for new products for approximately 4 days. I've always been a huge fan of The Body Shop, as it's one of the only brands that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin - so this event was right up my street, because we got to spend hours in there doing what beauty bloggers do best, armed with cameras and make up wipes.

I had such a lovely night and it was amazing to finally meet some of my gorgeous blogging friends, plus it has got me so excited to see what the future holds in terms of my blog! Oh, and I was part of a selfie-stick picture for the first time, One to tick off the bucket list...
