The YouTubers making the best lockdown content

I am a big fan of YouTube. And especially now, when films just seem a bit much and I've run out of British crime dramas to watch, YouTube makes for good escapism. Generally the content people upload is fairly short so you don't have to concentrate for too long, and there is SO MUCH CHOICE. Without further ado, here is some lockdown content I've been loving from YouTubers lately...

Molly from Beauty Spectrum

I've always watched Molly's videos, and most recently she's been uploading vlogs from her time travelling around Aus - lovely bit of escapism. She's also been posting chatty videos about the current situation, and she spent 24 hours inside a fort she built in her office. Fantastic scenes.

Yasmin Johal

If you like funny vegans with cute toddlers than Yasmin is the one for you. Her channel is full of fun homely content and her little boy is adorable. She recently uploaded a video of them baking together which was just so wholesome and nice!

Yolanda from How To Cake It

Cake-making/decorating videos have always been my go-to when I feel down or poorly, and Yolanda does them SO well. She makes the most intricate and extravagant cakes, and she's really funny too. She recently made a cake that looks like a giant bar of soap, so you know - topical!

Soph from sophdoeslife

So far during lockdown, Soph has bleached her own hair and done a DIY lash lift. I'm living vicariously through her because I'm not brave enough to do these things but she is, and she's funny. Definitely recommend.

Tim and Jen from TheTimTracker

Obviously, Disneyworld is closed so their usual theme park content is taking a back seat. But in its place are homely vlogs and chatty videos, and I just love them as a couple. So genuinely nice and interesting and fun.

Bambino Becky

She turned her flat into a pub. I will absolutely say no more. Enjoy!

Chi with a C

If you're into comedy then you need to watch Chi. She posts parodies of various TV shows where she plays all the characters, and it's an absolute hoot.

Let me know who else you've been watching on YouTube during lockdown!

  7. Thank you for this! I've been running out of videos to watch and love discovering new Youtubers so this is great. I already love BambinoBecky and ChiwithaC but How To Cake It seems like something I need in my life - cake decorating videos are so weirdly comforting aren't they?
