I am a big fan of Tangle Teezer - I've worked with them on my blog in the past, and I think I now have a collection of four scattered around my house. I like that there's loads of different varieties and I've even seen on Instagram that you can get them personalised now which is cute and would definitely make a good gift for someone. Anyway, I love Tangle Teezer as a brand. But with their 'Original' brush being a whole £11, it's not something everyone is willing to splash out on - and rightly so. With that in mind, I wanted to see if I could get something that does the same thing for a fraction of the price...
I was in Wilko trying to buy some doggy mouthwash (full time glam over here) and I spotted something that looked remarkably similar to the aforementioned Tangle Teezer, henceforth known as TT by the way, and it was only two quid. I wasn't expecting much but I bought it anyway to see how I got on, and honestly it's boss. The 'teeth' are a bit harder/pokier than on an actual TT, so maybe don't use it on your wee kiddos, but other than that it's great. The design is really similar to the original TT; it gets through knots with ease; it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. And for only two quid!
I have thick, frizzy, dyed hair and I'm always losing strands of it when I brush it, but I think with the Wilko dupe I actually don't find myself losing as much - so that's 100% definitely a bonus for me. All in all, you're saving nine quid and still getting a fab hairbrush so if you're in the market for a new one but trying to save your pennies in January, get yourself to Wilko.
What a great £2 dupe! Massive saving for virtually the same thing!
