Summer #CarnLIVal

Last weekend was our Summer #CarnLIVal, the third event Sam and I have hosted under that name and our seventh event in total - and always, it was FABULOUS. Our venue was Yard&Coop on Hanover Street, and we then went on to do a secret activity...

Yard&Coop was amazing - a bath full of balloons and four huge platters of chicken/chips/halloumi/sauce etc etc etc, alongside soft drinks and plenty of space for us to move around. We gave everyone a balloon to pop, revealing a raffle ticket; we had prizes from Fentimans, Gusto, Betty Box and more, and everyone seemed thrilled with their winnings. Our naughty N nice bags went down a treat, too: signed Bethany Mota books, some Superdrug hair care and a tonnnnn of sweets made up the nice bag, while the naughty bag was jam packed with bits from One condoms and  sextoys.co.uk - we made a nice amount to buy extra food bank donations, so that was great!

We had a 'pin the camera on the blogger' competition, and in keeping with our kid's party theme everybody got a little party bag on their table filled with sweets from Taffy Mail as well as THE cutest cookie from Custom Cookie Co. We also did pass the parcel, with prizes in the form of Vendula handbags. Of course, everyone took home a goody bag too - a massive thank you to some of our sponsors: Technic, Penguin books, Paul Mitchell, Lipsyl, Hippeas, Baylis & Harding, Holly's Lollies, Noughty, PerkULatte, Nugg and more.

An extra thanks to Party Packs for helping us out with some decorations, to Kayleigh and Samm for helping us set up, and Superdrug for sending the bags themselves for us to jam pack with products.

The second half of our event was the secret activity which was, of course, an escape room - Sam and I do them aaaalll the time and we're so obsessed that we couldn't not get our fave bloggers involved. We did a little deal with Breakout, put everyone into teams and that was that! Sam and I were in The Heist, which we broke out of, and everyone else broke out of their rooms too ... except for Layla and Cassie who took on the Indian's side of Wanted and failed. Soz gals. Anywaaaay we all had an absolute ball at Breakout, so thanks for having us guys!

After that we packed everything away and headed to the pub. So thanks to everyone for coming, for donating, for sharing your posts on the hashtag and for helping us to promote brands big & small. It's a pleasure doing these events and we'll see you at the next one...
