Nivea Express Hydration Primer // Review

I am forever buying and trying new primers in a desperate hope to get my make up to last longer than 10 minutes on my face; I have extremely dry skin and foundation just hates to stay on my face, so my primer collection is pretty significant. I was in Savers buying hair dye last week when I spotted the Nivea Express Hydration Primer, from their Daily Essentials range, for around three quid.

I was immediately drawn to the words 'express hydration', obviously, and bought it without a second thought. So is it worth buying? I like it - it feels a lot like a moisturiser, and less like a primer: it doesn't really go tacky or anything but it does make my skin feel nice and smooth. It smells nice like most Nivea products do, and it hasn't caused my skin to break out or whatever.

Does it keep my make up on longer, or make it look better? Honestly, I'm not sure - I feel that any texture is more noticeable, which is really annoying, but it does keep my make up on pretty well. I wore it under my foundation to see the King Blues last week which was generally a very sweaty night, and my make up looked the same at the end of the night as it did at the beginning, which is good. So it's swings and roundabouts: my make up looks less flawless to begin with, but it lasts longer without disappearing like it usually does.

For less than a fiver, this one is definitely worth a try if you have dry skin; I do quite like it, and it might work for you!
