Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Foundation // Review

It's no secret that my skin is notoriously rubbish - acne prone, dry as the Sahara, and it's red as well. Some days are good but for the most part my skin is utterly crap so a good foundation really is a staple for me. I'd been using Estee Lauder Double Wear and whilst I love the finish and coverage it gives, the lightest shade is too dark for me and I just felt like my skin couldn't breathe and heal.

Armed with Sam to give me an honest opinion, I hit up Debenhams - specifically the Bobbi Brown counter. I explained my skin-related woes to the lovely girl at the counter and she wiped off my make-up and fixed me up with a much better foundation.

I went for the Long-Wear Even Finish SPF 15 Foundation, in the shade Porcelain 0 (which, by the way, isn't the lightest shade they do. This is a first for me, which is an indicator of how good the shade range is.) It comes in a glass bottle, WITH A PUMP, and it looks generally classy and lovely in my make up collection.

The foundation is a cream consistency, rather than being really liquid-y, and gives a low-medium coverage. I use a buffing brush but I dab/press it on rather than actually buffing it into my skin, so as not to disturb my skin too much as that's what causes more redness. It looks really natural but in the best possible way! It has no scent to it and doesn't leave my skin feeling suffocated or irritated, and it lasts as long as I need it to. My skin is awful at keeping anything on it, but I find that this lasts just as well as anything else does!

It's £31 and I think it's definitely worth it - unless I try something better in the meantime, I'll be buying it again when I run out! Do you have any foundation recommendations?
