What to buy for beauty junkies

Beauty lovers are SO fun to buy for at Christmas - there's new products out, gift sets and the chance to splurge a little more than you usually would. I've reviewed and compiled a little list of some of the best in beauty for y'all.

Dermalogica are a lovely mid-range skincare brand, and they have some little gift sets out this year - I was lucky enough to receive one of them, which contained a little body oil, body wash and body lotion: they smell lovely and feel SO nice on the skin. I also got to try one of their newest offerings: Fruit Smoothie, from the Clear Start range. It's a thin moisturiser that sinks in wonderfully and smells delicious to boot; at just over £16 it's a little pricey but that's what Christmas is for, right? It's perfect for the younger guys N gals, and anything from the range would make a brilliant gift for a teenage beauty lover. click here

Up next is this pretty lil' nail varnish from Trust Fund Beauty - I have the shade I Woke Up Like This, which I adore the name of, and it's such a gorgeous sparkly pink. All their products are non-toxic and cruelty free ('unlike some of your relationships', it says on the site) and they're $15 each and do ship worldwide, although get your orders in quick as it can take a lil' bit of time to arrive. Mine came pretty quickly, though! click here

Another amazing nail varnish brand is Smith & Cult, who we were introduced to at #NWmeet - they're pricey at £19 but for Christmas, they're really lovely and special. They do some gorgeous shades - mine are Shattered Soul and Fauntleroy. Again, I love the names and they're truly nice to apply as well as being long lasting! click here

There's a fab website called Deciem, and they stock some unusual - but amazing - brands including a brand called Hylamide. I've tried out their Photography Foundation in 'transparent' - it's not actually transparent, it's a shimmery white colour and you can wear it alone or under/with/on top of foundation. I like it best when I mix it with my normal foundation; it gives such a healthy dewy glow so if you know someone who's into that kind of thing, this is a safe bet. It's £18 and I reckon the bottle is gonna last me a solid few months! click here Ps, Caroline Hirons recommends Hylamide, SO THERE, OKAY?

I never used to be into fake tan, until my cousin's wedding this year - it was a Summer affair and my dress was cream, so I knew my milk bottle legs weren't something I wanted in the multitude of photos! Since then I've been slowly getting into fake tan, and I was thrilled when I tried the Tan Organics 100% natural false tan; it can be used on sensitive skin and by pregnant women, and at under £20 it's a really lovely gift in my opinion. I wore this particular brand for my friend's 21st and it honestly looked gorgeous, plus it faded really evenly too! click here

Avon are one of those brands that often gets overlooked, but their make up is actually incredible. I've got one of their handbag palettes which includes eyeshadow, blusher and lipgloss - perfect for beauty junkies who are always on the go, or perhaps someone travelling around on a gap year. Everything is super pigmented and actually just really lovely, especially for the £12 price. You can always get pretty good discounts from Avon too! click here

Compact mirrors are a lovely gift for beauty lovers - Sam's mum got me one for my birthday and I use it all the time - and when you can splash out at Christmas, somewhere like Vanroe is a lovely place to find one. They have some gorgeous designs and they're such incredible quality; at £29 they might be pricey but they look so special in the little velvet dust bag, and they're sure to be a real treasured gift. click here

Hand cream is something you just can't go wrong with - we're often judged on our hands, people say, so it's important to keep them in tip top condition. AEOS do some gorgeous skincare, including their Enriching Spelt Hand Cream which comes in a little tub and smells so fresh/natural/gorgeous. It sinks in so fast, which really surprised me as it seems pretty thick - but honestly, I'd give it a 10/10 and I'm an avid hand cream enthusiast. I'll admit, the £82 price tag threw me, but if it's in your budget then I say go for it... click here

Fountain of Youth have some lovely skincare to offer, and I especially like the massage oil. It all smells lovely and I think buying someone a completer skincare kit is a really thoughtful and lovely Christmas gesture. You can buy it in salons, and keep your eyes peeled for the online launch soon!

If you're a beauty junkie yourself, then buying for other beauty lovers is always fun! Send some recommendations my way, too...
