High end products I DON'T think are worth the dolla

I've talked about high end products I do think are worth parting with your well earned money for, but there are some in my collection that I really don't think are worth it. Of course, I tend to get rid of a lot of the products that I don't like (mainly to friends/family as they've been used, but also to shelters if they're in good enough condition) - but I have held onto a few so here goes.

Anna Sui Eye Colour Palette // This is just one that neither me or Sam ever reach for; it's cheap cardboard packaging, a weird thrown-together bunch of colours, and pretty rubbish quality. It's the only thing I've tried from Anna Sui so it's annoying that I've had a bad experience but you can't win 'em all.

Armani Fluid Sheer // We've kept this one, and got rid of our second bottle which was in a different shade - I like this, I do, but not as a highlighter. It's so glittery and patchy and just never looks right, but it's okay as a primer if you want some extra sparkle for a night out.

Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold Highlighter // As highlighters go this is so underwhelming - it's not as pigmented as you'd hope, for the price, nor is it full of shimmer or light or any of that good stuff. Overall it's just a bit 'meh', and again with the cardboard packaging!?

Urban Decay Liquid Moondust Cream Eyeshadow* // I expected these to have doe-foot applicators, but instead they have these weird brushes that make it soooo difficult to apply product. And more than being creamy it's just wet and takes forever to set down. So not into it, and while they're not that expensive I can think of much better ways to spend £15.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara // I adore the packaging of this with the weird water droplets, and it's heavy so you know it's pretty good quality. The brush is an interesting shape and everyone raves about this but I was so disappointed - it just does nothing for my lashes other than colouring them black, and it wears off quickly. Don't waste your money, you're better off with Maybelline!

  1. I have a few of the Anna Sui products and completely agree, a bit of a let down. Such pretty packaging but just left me deflated.
I also agree with the Too Faced mascara, it wasn't for me either sadly. But I guess it's all about seeing what works for you really, I'm sure some people love it.

  2. I've tried the better than sex mascara and thought it was pants too! Sometimes you really don't get more for your money!
