#CarnLIVal - my highlights

As you may know, on Saturday we held #CarnLIVal - our latest blogging event, held at the gorgeous Hope Street Hotel in Liverpool. After some time to relax (jokes, a 5 hour pub shift and a million emails for our next venture) it's time to write my blog post about the day.

One of my favourite things was our Snapchat filter - how cool?! I just loved taking pictures with it all day, and my story was FULL of selfies. We also had a photo booth, and I got some fab photos with my favourite people - shout out to The Super Booth for letting us use one of their amazing booths!

Our sanitary products donation station was a highlight for me, too - everyone in the room was so period positive and we have SO MANY products to donate, and our bloggers took some new products home to try out, too, from Silly Panda, JuJu, Ruby Cup, Lil-Lets and more amazing companies. We can't say thank you enough: we hit our £150 target on GoFundMe, to purchase more products to donate, and we have literally thousands of products in our dining room ready to go to schools, youth groups, homeless shelters and more places to help people who can't afford to buy them.

The goody bags were amazing, if I do say so myself. Highlights include Make Up Geek lipsticks, Show Beauty hair products, Merci Handy hand sanitisers which smell AMAZING, wax melts Georgia Lee Candles with our very own #CarnLIVal lollipop scent, various books from Penguin Vintage and more! Keep checking the hashtag on Twitter if you're interested in seeing what else there was - everyone's so excited and I keep seeing products popping up on my timeline.

Of course, the venue itself was a highlight: we had perfect weather, the best views of our incredible city, and amazing lighting for the many pictures taken during the day. Our decorations, provided by Party Packs, went down really well too - if you follow anyone who attended Instagram you've no doubt seen photos of us all with the confetti-filled balloons!

Thank you to all our generous brands, and to all our gorgeous attendees. The day was so special, and we raised a ton of money for our two charities, Student Minds and St Rocco's Hospice. We're already planning the next one, so keep your eyes peeled for #CarnLIVal part three.
