My current favourite songs, March 2017

I am a music lover through and through - I'm a fan of most genres, and I've been to more gigs and concerts than I can count. Strangely I rarely talk about music on this little blog of mine, but I wanted to share some of my current favourite songs.

Voldemort (acoustic) by With Confidence // I hadn't heard this 'til we were in Latvia and at first I was a bit 'meh' about it, but now I love it. It's got such a lovely beat, and the lyrics are lovely, and the vocals go perfectly with the music.

Beauty and the Beast by Ariana Grande & John Legend // this is my favourite song from the film, and while I'm not exactly dying to see the new one (#NotMyBelle), I have to say I adore this version. Their voices go together beautifully - and I love them both individually, so it was only ever going to be good!

I don't always look this grumpy
when I listen to music I just
didn't know what pic to use lol

Castle on the hill by Ed Sheeran // even though the entire album has been released, this one remains my favourite. It's such a lovely sentiment and the music is so gorgeous.

Trigger by Deaf Havana // the whole of All These Countless Nights is amazing - there isn't a song on it that I don't love, and I'm not bored of it despite playing it on repeat most days. They're an incredible band who've always been one of my favourites, and the new album is no exception; this just happens to be my favourite song, but they're all incredible.

What if punk never happened? by The King Blues // this song is one I know all the words to, even if it's more of a spoken word poem the a song, and it speaks volumes to me. It's especially relevant right now, I think, and the final verse in particular seems to resonate strongly in 2017. I love love love love love love this song and will never get bored of shouting THROW YA FIST IN THE AIR, IN SOLIDARITY AND SHOUT VIVA LA PUNK JUST ONE LIFE ANARCHY in the shower.

What are your favourite songs right now?
