Starting a masters...

So - I've gone back to uni, and so far it's amazing. I've had my induction and my first seminar; I got my new student card, with my old picture that looks nothing like me, and I went for lunch in the new campus burger bar this week.

Last week was our introduction, and it was everything I expected it to be - as well as completely different. I wasn't nervous, but now I am, a bit; I'm worried that it'll be too much, too hard and too scary but I know I've got the best support system, the best lecturers and the best peers I could ask for. We're all so different, yet similar. Some of us are fresh graduates, and some are older, and we're from all over the country (all over the world, sort of, in fact) and we have such different backgrounds both in terms of our upbringings, our lives and our previous degrees.

I have so much to learn; I've never done anything research-y before so there's all sorts of methods I need to learn about, and with the delicate nature of my own research I'm worried about stepping on peoples' toes. I have so much to read, so many articles to hunt down, so many people to speak to (and more importantly, listen to). I'm just so excited to see where this goes, and I can't wait to get into it properly.

Filofax offered to send me a little somethin'-somethin' to help with my studies: an iPad case that incorporates a notebook. I was over the moon with this because it means I can have all my notes on my iPad, but if I need to scribble down an email address or book recommendation that I might urgently need at a time when my iPad is dead, I can do that. Also; doodling. I can draw a mean cartoon dog, so.

It's in a raspberry pink shade and honestly, I don't think I've ever owned anything that make me feel so grown up and professional - would highly recommend if you're an undergrad, post-grad, office worker, writer, commuter or ANYBODY REALLY.

Ps this was a bastard to photograph I know it's ugly I'm so sorry.
