Monsoon Valley @ Chaophraya

I love going out for dinner, and when Monsoon Valley got in touch to see if I wanted to go for Thai food so I could try some of their wine, I jumped at the chance. So we headed to Chaophraya in Liverpool One, and it was amazing.

pls excuse my hair
Monsoon Valley do quite a few different wines; the one we had was a white wine, not too dry, quite sweet and ultimately delicious. I think it was the Colombard, but Chaophraya also do a Chenin Blanc from Monsoon Valley so it could have been that - I wish I knew, because I'd definitely have it again. It's the first wine I've had that I've actually been able to taste changing flavour with each course of the meal, which completely fascinated me and I enjoyed it a lot.

The food was fantastic also; spicy, sweet, lovely, flavoursome, exciting. We had chicken spring rolls and chicken satay for starters, chicken curry and spicy fried rice with chicken and basil for main, and these incredible chocolate/whiskey/ice cream bombs for pudding. All of these seemed to complement the wine perfectly, and like I mentioned earlier it was incredible to taste the wine changing with each different food.

You can win a voucher to spend at Chaophraya so you can taste some Monsoon Valley wine for yourself - just follow me on twitter and look out for a competition tweet!
