Weird things I've cried at lately...

I love list posts, and I saw something floating around on Twitter about things this guy's wife had cried at - so I thought I'd put together my own list, because I cry at some pretty stupid things.

A little girl, dark skinned with curly hair, came into work after her confirmation; she looked like a princess and I cried.

My friend's brother sent her a really cute text, and she screenshotted it in our group chat. There was definitely a few tears in my eyes!

There was a cute grandad in a TV advert. Enough said, really.

One of our regulars in work, a really really old guy, took my hand really tightly and talked to me about Frank Sinatra. Yeah, I don't know either.

My boss' cat had kittens and for a few days she thought one of them was blind. Turns out it can see perfectly fine.

I tried and failed to braid my hair.

Sue Perkins talking about leaving Bake Off. You can give me this one, right?

I spent an hour screwing a bookcase together to realise the sides were on the wrong way (to be fair, this was more of a crying-with-laughter situation).

LEGO have really good customer service. Here's an example.

The ending of Camp Rock????

I looked at the moon for a really long time and thought about how far away it is, about how much is out there that we don't know about and how maybe, everything really is a bit insignificant. And that's okay.

Okay so there's probably plenty more, but I just can't think of any right now - tell me some of your's!

  1. This is strangely reassuring. I cried at Ellen twice this week in one episode (it was about the Orlando shootings but then the guy met Katy Perry and it was very emosh), but I also cried because I got a really nice email from my boss about taking some sick days and just seem to have spent quite a lot of time in tears this week! It's nice to know other people are the same!
