Urban Decay Alice Lipsticks // Review & Swatches

Sometimes, I have to pinch myself when it comes to working with brands - and when I got the chance to work with Urban Decay, that was one of those moments. They were kind enough to send me a selection of their Alice Through The Looking Glass lipsticks; they retail for £16 each, and sadly they're all out of stock on the UD wesbite right now but keep your eyes peeled because they're gorgeous!

L-R : Alice, Time, Mirana, Iracebeth
Alice is one of those shades that's just wearable; it's described as a 'sheer nude with soft pink' and it definitely fits that description. It's a bit on the light side for me, as I prefer something a bit more stand-out, but I think it's the most versatile of the collection and I think it could even be worn over a darker lip liner, to add a bit of somethin-somethin'. This one feels really nourishing, too.

Time is absolutely beautiful - it's the most out there lipstick I own, and I can't wait for the perfect excuse to wear a blue lipstick. It makes me look a bit dead, but I don't really mind because it's BLUE and so pretty. This one drags a bit, so it's not as nice a formula as the previous offering, but I still love it. Have I mentioned I love it?

Mirana is stunning and I can't wait to wear it aaallll A/W long; it's a shimmery berry shade without looking too pink - it's quite an edgy shade, and the shimmer isn't too overpowering but it's there. Again I don't find it to be mega comfortable, but somehow I just don't care.

Iracebeth is my favourite of the lot: it's a gorgeous bright red, but I find it has a lot of pink to it as well, in a raspberry kind of way. I can picture this at any time of year and with such a huge range of looks - what a joy. For a matte, this is pretty nice on the lips too.

Have you got your hands on any of the Alice lipsticks?
