#TropicPartyBag

Okay, okay, I know - I've been gone for so long you've probably forgotten who I am, but I've temporarily blown the cobwebs from my keyboard to write this post. I'm not back for good, not yet, but just bare with me. Life happens, and my dissertation is SO nearly done, and I want to make sure I'm in the right place when I get back into blogging. I'll explain everything that's been going on, yadda yadda, when I'm ready to.

However, something very exciting is happening soon - Tropic, my favourite skincare brand, are turning three years old! They invited me to be a part of the celebrations and of course, I jumped at the chance. Everything about Tropic makes me happy; the products themselves are amazing, and the people who work for them more so. I feel so proud to have worked with them in the past and to be working with them now - their cream cleanser is my ultimate holy grail bathroom product, and I can't wait to get stuck into all my new goodies.

It's been a wild three years for Tropic - it did all start way before then, when founder Susan Ma started selling home-made body scrub at Greenwich Market - but 2013 is where it all really began, when Tropic officially opened for business backed by none other than Alan Sugar. Late 2015 saw a complete design overhaul (and seriously, how cute do the products look?) and Tropic won the Product Business of the Year (2015) award. Well done, guys, you rock.

My party bag was waiting for me when I got home from uni on Tuesday last week, and of course I dive straight in. The first thing I pulled out was one of those towel hair band thingymajigs, which I'm actually so excited about because it will stop my hair being in my face when I get ready/do face masks. There was also the Love Lip Balm, which smells incredible, and the Tamanu Rescue. This is one of those products that I love - a thick balm which you can use just about anywhere, choc full of oils and butters and all that goodness.

Now, if you know me, you'll know I have a bit of a thing for hand cream. I rarely leave the house without one, and I smother my paws in it around seven times a day. On that note, I was ecstatic to find the Superfood Hand Therapy in my party bag - and it's got THE best smell ever. Literally. Next up in terms of skincare is the Face Smooth, one of Tropic's best sellers. It's an exfoliator that again smells amazing (are you sensing a theme?) and I can't wait to see how it does on my skin…

I'm a sucker for skincare, but I love make up too - and make up from a skincare brand? Well that's just SO up my alley. I'd never tried any Tropic make up before, so I was thrilled to find three pieces in my party bag. The Sculpting Palette, which has contour/blush/highlight shades, is something I've been desperate to try for so long, and the colours are perfect for me. It's such a handy little palette, too! Tropic do four mineral eyeshadow palettes, and I got Wonderful Wisteria which has purple shades (my favourite) - they're so pigmented and not at all powdery. And finally for make up, one of their Colour Click lipsticks; I have the shade … and it's so me. Not too matte, not too shiny, and my perfect colour.

I thought that was everything, until I came to take photographs and found the Organic Nail Nectar hiding in the bag - and I was so intrigued. It's got actual flowers in it?! Seriously, it's so pretty and it's got so many impressive ingredients in it, so I should have perfect nails in no time!

YOU can win your own Tropic Party Bag tomorrow (May 4th) on Twitter or Facebook - they're giving away 5 on each. Just follow and RT using #TropicPartyBag on Twitter, or "like" their Facebook page and let the girls know what's on your topic wishlist. Keep your eyes peeled on the Tropic social media pages between 10am and 4pm to be in with a chance of winning!

So, I know I'm gushing about how much I love Tropic but I really just want to wish them a massive happy 3rd birthday. Keep doing what you're doing because it's working, and your products are the best, and your ethos is incredible.

Whew, that was a long post. I'll be reviewing the contents of my Tropic Party Bag when I'm back here in full swing. See you soon, guys.
