IKEA Haul // Back to uni

I'm moving back to uni in the next few weeks - going into my third and final year of a journalism and creative writing degree. It's scary and I already feel under pressure but I'm excited to get back to doing what I love, and to start job hunting! I needed a new bin for my bedroom @ uni, so naturally I went and spent £50 in IKEA. Duh.

This pink box is made of cardboard and I'm using it to store my course books, because that way I'll always know where they are they won't get lost under a pile of novels and poetry books. Smart thinking, I know. These patterned glasses were a mere 50p each and I adore them; as you can see I've got one for my pencil type make up (eye and lip liners, mostly) and the other two are currently empty. The yellow thing is in fact a napkin holder, but I'm not posh so I'll be using it to store important letters and such. You know.

I actually binned my old bath mat so when I saw this gorgeous stripy one for A POUND, there was no way I could pass it up. I'm living with all girls so hopefully it won't get gross. The pink milkshake cup glass thingy was too cute to say no to, so it'll hopefully come in handy for something, alongside the silver bucket which is currently home to a very soft and squidgey hedgehog. Nobody should ever go to IKEA without coming away with at least two of their 95p candles; this time I went for vanilla and coconut ones.

My make up is normally all just shoved in one basket, and I knew I needed something to keep it tidy as my collection grows; these plastic boxes were a couple of quid each and I now have somewhere for face stuff, and somewhere for eye stuff. Delightful. I also treated myself to a new duvet cover in a gorgeous white and blue paisley design; all the carpets are blue in my new house which is gross, but you have to make do when you're a student so that's the theme I'm unwillingly going for...

What are your uni-house essentials? Let me know!
