DAILY DECEMBER #15 // Books I want to read in 2015

I am a massive book worm, which you might know if you saw my book lover's survey tag, and I'm always on the look out for new books to read. I've been keeping an eye on new releases the past few month, as well as seeing what everybody else has been recommending, and I've come up with this little list right here!

1 - Pretty Honest by Sali Hughes // Described as 'the straight-talking beauty companion', I think this would be the perfect book to have next to my bed, ready for me to dip into as and when I please. It's had rave reviews from beauty bloggers, make up artists, and women all over the place, so I'll definitely be getting my nose stuck in at some point.

2 - Beowulf by Tolkein // Finished in 1926, this 'translation and commentary' is one of Tolkein's first pieces of work, but he never had it published. His estate teamed up with Harper Collins so now we get to experience the joy of reading it, thanks to the editing skills of his son.

3 - The Monogram Murders by Sophie Hannah // This a really strange one for me to talk about; ever since I first read one of Sophie Hannah's novels I've been hooked - I've read all her books more than once, and she is definitely my most favourite contemporary author. And I've grown up with Agatha Christie being a big part of my life: my aunty is her biggest fan ever. So to see my favourite author create a new Poirot story was an amazing piece of news - I'm yet to read it because I've been so caught up with uni books, but it's on my Christmas list... hint hint mother

4 - Us by David Nicholls // I was a huge fan of Nicholls' One Day - I read the book on holiday and then my mum took me to the see the film on GCSE results day. It was one of those books that just captured me in such a beautiful way, so I'm eager to see if Us is just as good!

5 - A Girl Is A Half Formed Thing // This book has been so raved about recently, and having read the plot outline I really want to see if it lives up the hype: it really seems like my kinda book.

Those are the books I have my eye on for 2015 - if you have any recommendations then please let me know! I'm hoping to do more book-related stuff on this blog in the next year so if it's something you're into, keep your eyes peeled.
